The MIDI module describes only those MIDI features which are not handled by the abstract "note" structure of MML, as specified in the Core Modules (Frequency Module and Time Module). Aspects such as using a foot pedal are handled in the MML Peformance Module. The MIDI Module thus contains those additional MIDI features not contained in these other modules.
The MIDI Module still needs to be developed. At this stage it is envisaged that a lookup table containing MIDI controllers and MML equivalents should also be addressed in this module.
