The popular term "band" is used as synonym for "orchestra" which is too long a word. The instruments for a band can be declared in the band profile, saved in a *.band or *.bnd file.
The band element is used to rerfer either to a real band (Performance Module) or to a virtual band (Synthesizer Module).
