Kerala Fishing: Kovalam (Thiruvananthapuram District)

The Marine Fisheries Census of Kerala (2010) lists Kovalam as both fishing village and landing centre.

Kovalam consists of a few beaches (Lighthouse Beach, Hawah or Eve's Beach, Samudra Beach), and is the main tourist beach of Thiruvananthapuram city. Some fishing occurs here. Kovalam is 11km south of the Thiruvananthapuram city centre.
